Ping Pong/Table Tennis is making a comeback. Fact. It's no longer 'too retro' reserved for the garage of your parents' home or the Chinese. We've got Bounce to thank for that.

A friend was celebrating a birthday and decided to hold it at Bounce. Located in Holborn, you could very easily walk past the venue with it's near non descript door. Once you do find it and enter, you come upon a cavernous room with numerous tables and hundreds of white balls bouncing all over the place. Even on a Sunday afternoon the place was buzzing (or bouncing?!) and there was certainly a good relaxed vibe. (maybe also a little competitive)

Given the 'Gallery Table' we had a slightly private area (between the main play and dining areas) raised above the main floor which meant we had a good view of the whole venue. The area comfortably fit 15 or so people though you could probably add a few extra bodies without cramping anyone's style.

We ended up being there for a few hours and it cost us a little less than £6 each - not bad for an afternoon out! Prices vary depending on time of day as well as time used (30 or 60mins) so checkout the site here for more details. (pricing is per table rather than per person) For those a little more adventurous, there's also UV ping pong!

Afraid you'll get hungry and thirsty? Never fear, there's a full bar with a wide selection of food (bar and ala carte) and drinks as well as a proper dining area as previously mentioned. All at quite reasonable prices so you won't be left out of pocket too much!

Would we go back again? Yes! It's a fun few hours out and if you're even slightly competitive, it'll really get you going!

A friend went here on a date and highly recommended it too... Good relaxed vibe, fully stocked bar and if all isn't peachy, there's ping pong to distract and make the time fly a little faster!
